Interior Doors Open Up Affordable New Home Improvement Opportunity

Interior Doors Open Up Affordable New Home Improvement Opportunity

Learn how to upgrade the beauty of your home and increase your property value in less than a day. Amazingly, what used to take weeks or longer can now be accomplished in just a few hours.

While many homeowners hardly bat an eye before knocking out a wall or going a week without running water, others are replacing their interior doors for a more affordable, less invasive approach to home beautification.

From hiring designers and contractors to securing permits and tying up weeks or even months in the process, homeowners will endure nearly anything to improve the look and value of their investment – even the newest of homes aren't without their list of projects and upgrades.

While change is good, it's also expensive and time consuming. With interior door replacement, what used to take weeks or longer can be accomplished in a few hours: the change of a home's appearance and an increase in property value.

The right door draws attention to and sets the tone for a room and switching out older interior doors with new styles is recognized as perhaps the easiest and quickest way to change the style and feel of a home's interior.

So you have decided your interior doors could use an upgrade, now what? The best approach is to shop around for the right style of doors and the right company to install them. Or better yet, go someplace you can find both, such as Interior Door Replacement Company

A seven-year old pioneer of the industry, IDRC is a true one-stop shop for anything related to interior door replacement. You’re able to select from several designs, which they custom paint, fit and install to fit your interior. They even offer custom hinges and handles, as well as specialty doors such as bi-pass, bi-fold, fire-rated and mirrored wardrobe doors.

What you can expect to pay for this kind of service is less than what it costs to think the word "remodel." IDRC custom fits and installs new interior doors for as low as $129 per door.

Having installed over 100,000 interior doors, IDRC lives up to their reputation of being quick, professional and easy to work with.

"Customers repeatedly say we're the easiest and most professional home improvement company they've ever worked with," said Dave Winter, IDRC's President and CEO. "We do most of our work off-site and even dispose of old doors to make sure there is no mess left behind in the home."

Home Improvement Retailers to Attend Hardware Conference Sept. 9-11, 2005 in Marco Island, Florida

Home Improvement Retailers to Attend Hardware Conference Sept. 9-11, 2005 in Marco Island, Florida

MARCO ISLAND, Fla., July 18

More than 300 home improvement retailers are expected to attend The 2005 Hardware Conference September 9-11, 2005 in Marco Island, Fla. The event at the Marco Island Marriott will feature manufacturer demonstrations, open dialogue sessions and social events.
Approximately 100 home improvement industry manufacturers are expected to exhibit, with new merchandise categories including clothing, floor care, paint/cleaning supplies, pool supplies and sporting goods.

Tom Chasteen, owner of the Tavernier, Fla.-based Tavernier Ace Hardware, launched the conference in 1988 for Florida-based hardware retailers. He has expanded the event over the years to attract retailer attendees from across the country. Pre-registration is approximately 15 percent ahead of 2004, with many of the pre-registered retailers representing multi-store operations.

Wholesale distributors signed up to attend include Ace Hardware, Do it Best, Orgill and True Value. According to Chasteen, The Hardware Conference is the only industry-wide event where the primary focus is not on sales, but specifically building relationships between manufacturers and hardware retailers, regardless of wholesaler affiliation. Chasteen said most conference attendees take care of their buying needs by attending wholesaler shows and other industry trade shows.

The Hardware Conference is the largest annual dealer event in the Southeastern United States, according to Chasteen, who has been particularly active in helping hardware retailers rebuild after hurricane damage. One event planned for the 2005 conference is a discussion with home improvement retailers who incurred major losses as a result of the 2004 Florida hurricanes, including Joe Waksler of Charlotte Harbor Ace Hardware (Port Charlotte, Fla.) and Bill Zeithammer of Isles Do-it Best (Punta Gorda, Fla.).

Another conference highlight is the exclusive "Dealers Pick" program, designed to expose new products to retailers faster and provide manufacturers with valuable data directly from retailers. Attending retailers evaluate each Dealers Pick entry for packaging, shelf life, salability, consumer appeal and retail price point.

Event sponsors include the North American Retail Hardware Association, 3M, Activant Solutions, Inc., CooperTools, Damp Rid, Duracell Batteries, H.D. Hudson Manufacturing, Hillman Group, Irwin, Krylon, KST Coatings, Miami Children's Hospital Foundation, Minwax, Poms and Associates, Robert Bosch Tool Corp., Toolbox Marketing, and Weber Stephens Products.
